Nevada City Police Department


• At 11:50 p.m., a caller reported that homeless people were entering his residence and sleeping in his yard on the 300 block of Long Street.

Grass Valley Police Department


• A collision between two cars at Idaho-Maryland Road and Centennial Drive about 12:40 p.m. backed up traffic on Idaho-Maryland for half an hour. No one was seriously injured after one vehicle exiting Centennial pulled out in front of another, causing a broadside collision.

Sheriff’s Office


• A caller reported at 9:20 p.m. juveniles were riding shopping carts around in the Albertsons parking on the 12000 block of Nevada City Highway.


• At 10:57 a.m., a caller reported a man sitting on the side of Lime Kiln Road in a lotus position, as if in prayer, with blood on his shirt. Police made contact with him and determined he was waiting for a ride.

• A woman was reported at 11:14 a.m. to be asking people for marijuana on the entrance steps of the Rood Administrative Center.
