Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• Jeffrey Theorin Prince, 51, of Grass Valley, was arrested at 12:56 a.m. on three felony charges, one of which was possession of two illegal assault weapons. Prince was also arrested on suspicion of inflicting injury on a cohabitant and maliciously damaging the telephone line. Bail was set at $45,000.

• A caller reported at 5:52 a.m. that someone threw paint on a building on the 12400 block of Loma Rica Drive.

• A caller reported at 7:06 a.m. the theft of a flatbed truck with welding equipment, industrial tools, and an air pressure kit from the 14700 block of Taylor Crossing Road.

• A caller reported at 1:37 p.m. that four to five juveniles were in Memorial Park and one was brandishing a sword. The caller could not determine if the sword was real or fake. Police responded, and the juvenile was no longer at the park.
