Grass Valley Police Department

Wednesday

• A woman on the 200 block of Mill Street reported at 10:09 p.m. that she had just returned home and believed someone had been inside. She noted a strong odor of matches and that her toilet sounded like it had just been flushed.



Thursday

• Six tires were reported to have been slashed the previous night on the 300 block of Idaho-Maryland Road, at 10:09 a.m.




Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

Wednesday

• At 5:07 p.m., a caller on Green Ravine Road reported that a man was constantly shooting dogs that came onto his property and that he had already killed one dog.

• A caller at Cedar Ridge Market, at 13477 Highway 174, reported that a man tried to give a cashier a fake $20 bill. The cashier refused to take the bill, and the man left.
