Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

• A caller at a Wells Fargo Bank reported at 2:18 p.m. that someone took more than $900 out of the caller’s checking account in August.



• A Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital patient reportedly assaulted two registered nurses and left the hospital. The same patient reportedly checked into Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital that night.

Tuesday

• A home on the 14600 block of Meadow View Drive was reported burglarized at 2:08 p.m.

• A mailbox on the 11200 block of North Bloomfield Road was reported vandalized at 9:40 p.m.

Wednesday

• At 1:29 a.m., a caller at the Holiday Market, at 10952 Combie Road, reported that someone had tried to lift up a soda machine that was in front of the store with a pallet jack, and had cracked a store window. The suspect was last seen leaving in an older brown convertible. At 9 a.m., a caller at the store reported the theft of a gumball machine.

Nevada City Police Department

Tuesday

• At 12:30 p.m., a caller at The Hat Store, at 314 Broad St., reported that an employee was chasing a shoplifter down Broad Street. The suspect, who had a shaved head, goatee, no shirt and baggy pants, was seen by the National Hotel. He and the employee were then seen running down the Pine Street bridge. The man was arrested on Tribulation Trail on suspicion of petty theft and resisting a police officer, both misdemeanors.
