Grass Valley Police Department


• A woman at Empire Market, on West Empire Street, reported at 4:52 p.m. that a man was dropping his pants and making her feel uncomfortable.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• Cherree Sherrie Williams, 18, of Penn Valley, was arrested on suspicion of selling a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

• A caller on the 13300 block of Ridge Road reported at 8:46 p.m. that a home next door was possibly being burglarized. The caller said the homeowner was in jail at the time and people appeared to be sawing down the door. A deputy detained a person, who was found to be allowed to be on the property.

• A rock was reportedly thrown through the window of a business on the 300 block of Spring Street at 11:53 a.m.
