Grass Valley Police Department


• Lawrence Everett Farrell, 23, of Grass Valley, was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, threatening a crime and battery on a non-cohabitant with whom he has had previous relations.


• At 1:11 a.m., a small blue sedan reportedly went by and clipped a police patrol car. It was last seen heading on Idaho Maryland Road toward Brunswick Drive.

• A caller reported at 2:38 a.m. that three people took street signs from the corner of Richardson and N. Church streets and walked down the street. Police found the three and arrested them.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


• A snack shack at Torrey Pines golf course was reported burglarized at 8:57 a.m.

• At 3:08 p.m., a woman on the 20600 block of Buckboard Road reported that someone attempted to break into her home in the past hour.


• At 8:59 a.m., a caller on the 16700 block of Indian Hill Road reported the theft of $5,000-diamond earrings, as well as diamond and sapphire earrings, a pendant, emerald and diamond earrings and a diamond and gold chain.
