California Highway Patrol

Monday

• A bicyclist was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital after crashing off Banner Lava Cap Road. The 57-year-old Nevada City man was heading east on Banner Lava Cap at 5:05 p.m. west of Ore De Gold Court when the bicycle went off road and overturned. The rider suffered cuts to his knees, hip, face and elbows.

Monday




• At 2:24 p.m., a caller at a business on the 23300 block of Highway 49 reported an employee possibly put cleaning liquid into someone else’s water bottle.

• A vehicle on the 12700 block of Willow Valley Road was reported burglarized at 1:56 p.m.

• Outdoor lighting worth about $200 was reported stolen from a home on the 15200 block of Airport Road at 5:49 p.m.

Tuesday

• Larry Dean Beltrame, 51, of Penn Valley, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession for sale, transporting or selling a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle or syringe.

Tuesday

• Wayne Allen Badding, 45, of Smartville, was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, possession for sale, violating probation and possession of a hypodermic needle or syringe.
