Grass Valley Police Department

Tuesday

• At 11:33 p.m., a caller at Riebe’s Napa Auto Parts reported that a city utility truck ran into Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal’s unmarked county vehicle in the parking lot. Only minor damage was reported.



• A counterfeit bill was reported at 3:27 p.m. at Four Seasons Book Store on the 1200 block of Sutton Way.

Wednesday




• At 4:07 a.m., a caller on the corner of Alta and West Main streets reported that a male juvenile fell into some bushes and then stuck out his thumb to hitchhike.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office

Tuesday

• A caller reported at 3:24 p.m. that someone cut the lock to his storage unit on the 13300 block of Joe Day Ranch Road and stole two black suitcases.

• At 8:16 p.m., several youths were reported to be playing on top of a school roof on the 16600 block of Annie Drive.

California Highway Patrol

Tuesday

• A North San Juan man suffered minor injuries after he crashed his car into a tree on Tyler Foote Road around 6 p.m. The 27-year-old was cited for driving about 100 mph. He was driving east on Tyler Foote, west of Murphy Road, when he lost control of his Nissan 240 SX and slammed into a tree.
