Grass Valley Police Department Friday

• At 5:21 p.m., a caller on the corner of Cypress Hill Drive and Arden Court reported that five boys were throwing basketballs into traffic.

• A caller on the corner of Pelton Way and Penstock Drive reported at 11:49 p.m. that three boys and three girls were toilet-papering a house. Police contacted the youths, who were reportedly toilet-papering their own house.

• At 4:14 p.m., a woman on the 10100 block of Robinson King Road reported returning to her home and finding her front-door window broken out.


• Peter Shandley O’Brien, 33, of Nevada City, was arrested on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a co-habitant and vehicle theft, both felonies.
