Grass Valley Police Department Thursday

– At 6:12 a.m., a caller at Liberty Motors at 600 Freeman Lane reported that a truck had been vandalized and its tires stolen.

Nevada CountySheriff’s Office


– A caller on the 14200 block of North Bloomfield Road reported at 1:44 p.m. the caller’s home had been burglarized and seven handguns were stolen.

California Highway Patrol


– At 9 p.m., a Ford F-350 truck reportedly went off Highway 20 east of Omega Road and struck a tree. The driver, Byron Sanderson, 65, of Nevada City, suffered a gash to the head and complained of back pain. He was taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital. Authorities said they are investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
