Grass Valley Police Department


– At 3:55 p.m., a caller reported that a man jumped off her balcony on the 200 block of Mill Street. Later, a different caller reported the same man showed up at his residence on the 100 block of Harris Street and was saying he wanted to “end it all with a bullet.” The man was later found and taken to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital for a mental evaluation.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


– A caller reported at 10:30 p.m. that someone threw rocks through the windows of a home day care on the 24500 block of Camelia Way.

California Highway Patrol


– A man drove a pickup truck into a drainage ditch on Tyler Foote Road in North San Juan at 7:25 p.m. and was transported to Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital with a laceration to the head. CHP was investigating whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
