Grass Valley Police Department


– At 7:12 p.m., a caller at the Holiday Lodge on the 1200 block of East Main Street reported that two men, possibly drunk, had entered a motel room through an unlocked door and were refusing to leave. The room was not rented out to them. Both were later arrested, one for disorderly conduct and one on warrants.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


– Identity theft was reported at 12:50 p.m. on the 10100 block of Stone Arch Drive.

– At 1:08 p.m., a caller reported $120 had been stolen from an unlocked vehicle on the 10000 block of Olympia Park Road


– David Robbie Forkner, 34, of North San Juan, was arrested for mayhem, malicious mischief and assault with a deadly weapon, all felonies.
