Nevada City Police Department

Monday

– A 1999 green Toyota Tacoma was reported stolen from Sacramento Street at 3:17 p.m. The truck’s license plate number is 5X42346.



Nevada County Sheriff’s Office




Monday

– Theft of a .22-caliber rifle was reported at 1:11 p.m. from a residence on the 12600 block of Valley View Road.

– At 3:03 p.m., a caller on the 19600 block of Wildwood West Drive reported ongoing thefts from an unlocked garage including a chain saw, belt sander and other tools.

Tuesday

– At 9:43 a.m., a caller on the 12700 block of The Hollow reported that a man just landed a helicopter in her front yard. The helicopter reportedly flew off before authorities could arrive.

– Ramon Poblete Vasquez, 38, of Penn Valley, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft, a felony.

Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

– At 6:25 p.m., a caller reported that while he was near the corner of Mill and French streets, a white Chrysler or Cadillac with three or four men drove by and threw eggs all over him.

Tuesday

– A caller from Placer Sierra Bank on the 700 block of Sutton Way reported at 10:52 a.m. that a customer’s checks had been forged.

Monday

– Two Roseville men were taken to Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital after a 1997 Mercedes one of them was driving struck a tree at 7:20 p.m. on Magnolia Road, west of Dog Bar Road. Both men had minor injuries. The driver said he swerved to miss a deer in the road.
