Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

– At 11:11 p.m., a woman on the 400 block of French Avenue reported that two mountain lions were on her front porch and were growling at her children through a window.



Nevada County Sheriff’s Office




Monday

– Juveniles were reported to be in a physical fight on the 17000 block of Bissell Place at 12:29 p.m. One of the juveniles was arrested.

– At 4:52 p.m., a caller on the 14600 block of Sun Forest Drive reported a rear window on his van had been broken out.

Tuesday

– A $400 ladder was reported stolen at 8 a.m. out of a truck on the 12800 block of Loma Rica Road.

– At 8:03 a.m., a man on the 14200 block of Beyers Lane reported that someone was making and cashing checks against his account.

Nevada City Police Department

Monday

– At 4:52 p.m., a caller at SPD Market on the 700 block of Zion Street reported a market employee chased after a suspect who had shoplifted from the store. The suspect was later cited and released by police.
