Grass Valley Police Department


– A 20-year-old man opened a Wells Fargo bank account with a $6,000 check from a closed bank account and withdrew $4,000.

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


– Someone was skinning an animal in a parking lot at 2:50 p.m. on the 10000 block of Joerschke Drive.

– A 22-year-old Auburn salesperson was arrested for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, and violating parole, a felony. Jesse James Aiton was being held on $1,326 bond.

– A 49-year-old Lakeport carpenter was arrested on a felony charge of possession of heroin and four misdemeanors. Roy Delbert Gault was being held on $11,532 bond.

– A 38-year-old Penn Valley fisherman was arrested on a felony violation of parole. Adam Wayne Cook was being held without bond.

– A 41-year-old Grass Valley waitress was arrested on a felony charge of threatening crime and being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Jami Yvette Patton was being held on $11,000 bond.
