Ten Joerschke Drive businesses were broken into earlier this week, with thieves netting cash and two rifles.

The doors of the businesses were kicked in and small amounts of cash were obtained from some of the businesses, said sheriff’s Detective Guy Selleck. Two rifles were also stolen.

The break-ins were reported early Wednesday morning at a two-story office complex at 10031 Joerschke Drive in the Brunswick Basin area.

They are believed to have occurred sometime between midnight Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday. There are no suspects in the case.

Two people were booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility early Friday after sheriffs uncovered methamphetamine manufacturing at a Tracy Drive residence.

Sheriffs were looking for a suspect on a warrant Thursday night when they discovered that methamphetamine was being made at the residence.

Arrested on suspicion of manufacturing a controlled substance and other charges were Everett W. Mathews, 41, of Grass Valley, and Joyce L. Swindle, 35, of Grass Valley.

Bond was set at $50,000 for Mathews and for Swindle.
