Erik Dean Lee, 29, of Nevada City, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, battery, domestic assault, child endangerment and willful cruelty to a child at his home on the 15000 block of Highway 20, according to the Sheriff’s Office. He was booked into Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on $25,750 bail.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Paul Schmidt claimed Lee assaulted a woman and child, at various times wielding a rifle or machete, which were seized.

Several people were at the house during the incident and some went to a Nevada City gas station, where they first met with officers around 12 a.m., Schmidt said.
