— A gun found about 3 p.m. in a Pleasant Street drain was given to police and destroyed.

— A customer at the National Hotel, 211 Broad St., reported that a .40-caliber semiautomatic handgun was stolen from his room.’

Nevada County Sheriff’s Office


— Several drums were being played loudly in the 14000 block of South Ponderosa Way, a caller reported at 7:35 p.m.

Those responsible agreed to be quieter, a dispatch logs says.

— Several mail boxes on the 12000 block of Slate Creek Road were vandalized, a caller reported at 7:32 a.m.
