Sheriff’s Office


— Robert E. Taylor, 33, of North San Juan, was booked at 12:47 p.m. on suspicion of forgery. His probation was revoked.

Grass Valley Police Department


— Several Morgan Ranch residents reported a large bear walking around the neighborhood this morning. A Fish and Game officer was contacted. The bear is only looking for food and will leave the area, he said at 8:43 a.m. There is no need to be concerned, he said.

— John W. Nelson, 18, of Grass Valley, was arrested at 8:51 a.m. on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale and drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.


— Vandalism was reported at 7:18 a.m. at the skatepark in Condon Park.
