— Ronald D. Baker, 38, of Grass Valley, was arrested on suspicion of vandalism, burglary, assault and battery in connection with an incident on the 10000 block of Smith Road that was reported at 7:27 a.m. He was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on $25,750 bail.


James R. Vanek, 37, and Patricia J. Albright, 51, were arrested at 4:45 p.m. on the 13000 block of Mountain Air Lane near North Bloomfield-Graniteville Road on suspicion of marijuana cultivation, marijuana possession for sale, and firearm possession while committing a felony. Vanek was also arrested for a suspected probation violation and allegedly being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Sheriff Keith Royal said narcotics agents found 22 marijuana plants, an undisclosed amount of marijuana packaged for sale, and $5,000 cash. Vanek was being held without bail, and Albright was booked on $10,000 bail.

Jacob H. Hill, 22, of Grass Valley, was arrested at 3:17 p.m. on suspicion of methamphetamine possession, battery on an officer, false report to an officer, obstructing arrest, driving on a suspended license, and domestic assault. He was booked on $13,500 bail. He was arrested on Joyce Street after a caller reported seeing a suspicious vehicle, according to a dispatcher.
