— A woman called to say her house off Gracie Road was burglarized. A report was taken.

California Highway Patrol


— Steven James Strange, 45, was booked right after midnight on suspicion of driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence and causing bodily injury. Strange, who lives near Grass Valley, was arrested in connection with a two-car accident at 4 p.m. Friday on Pleasant Valley Road.

Sheriff’s Office


— A man on North Bloomfield Road reported at 2:23 p.m. that his mailbox had been smashed during the night.


— A woman on Taylorville Road reported at 6:26 a.m. that someone smashed her mailbox during the night. A log entry was made.

— A couple reported at 12:49 p.m. that campaign signs were vandalized on their property on John Born Road off Pleasant Valley Road.
