Grass Valley Police Department


–Sharri Lynn Whittington, a 30-year-old nurse from Grass Valley, was booked at 4:25 a.m. at Wayne Brown Correctional Facility on suspicion of driving under the influence and child endangerment. Bail was set at $25,000.

–Gary Arthur Doshier, 28, of Grass Valley was booked at 6:58 p.m. on suspicion of possessing, transporting and selling a controlled substance; for bringing drugs into the jail; and for receiving stolen property. Bail was set at $10,000.

— A woman called at 5:15 a.m. to report that while lost on Tyler Foote Road, she and others were assaulted when they came across a “pot garden.” The case is under investigation, Sgt. Bill Jones said.

— A woman who has a prescription for the medicinal use of marijuana reported at 12:03 p.m. the theft of pot plants from a shed on Red Tail Hawk Road.

A burglary report was taken, Sgt. Bill Jones said.

The woman, Jane E. Anderson, 65, had been arrested the day before for alleged cultivation, Jones said. Narcotics agents had left her with two plants, he said.
