Grass Valley Police Department

Monday

A vehicle break-in was reported at 8:23 a.m. from a Northstar Place resident.



Sunday

Eight vehicle break-ins were reported between 10:10 a.m. and 12:13 p.m. from homes on Maryland Drive and Race, Le Duc and Kate Hayes streets. Theft from an unlocked vehicle was reported at 12:47 p.m. from a Bennett Street home.

Monday

A caller from the 15000 block of Black Gold Drive south of Rough and Ready reported he was sleeping on his deck when two people tried to steal his marijuana.

Sunday

— Three vehicle break-ins were reported between 8:14 a.m. and 1:54 p.m., two from Nevada City Highway and another from Bridgeport on Pleasant Valley Road.

— A landlord for property on the 11000 block of Willow Valley Road outside Nevada City reported at 6:05 p.m. that he learned from a neighbor that a tenant was cultivating marijuana.

The tenant had a medical marijuana recommendation and was within the county’s growing guidelines.
