Please, please, please let’s not confuse "takings law"

Please, please, please let’s not confuse “takings law” with land speculation protection. That is exactly what Measure D attempts to do. I have listened to several presentations by its supporters, and for the life of me I cannot make the “takings” connection. When asked point-blank questions, you get smoke and mirrors. My conclusion is Measure D will cripple our county’s ability to correctly plan for and process future development. Equally important, it will cost taxpayers of Nevada County and cost them big. Vote no on Measure D.
