Paper panders to left

Who the Sam Hill is running The Union? That front-page article Tuesday, “Doolittle lease one of highest,” was yellow journalism. The reporter referenced a document showing the top spender a Democrat and the lowest spender a Republican with Congressman John Doolittle down the list but yet the prime target of the story. Is anyone at The Union’s helm reading or approving stories written by cub staff reporters before they are published? The article was clearly a targeted smear piece against Doolittle under the guise of investigative journalism. Furthermore, the editorial page has degenerated into a daily rant and rave of bashing Bush, Cheney, Doolittle, Christians, conservatives and the USA. The Union seems to be pandering to Nevada County’s anti-American progressive group thinkers, which, in a conservative county, could result in a serious decline in subscriber and advertiser revenue. A lot of us have about had our fill of yellow journalism.
