Our kind of town

My parents were visiting from Santa Rosa last Saturday to enjoy their grandson’s soccer game. My son was at the field with his dad, while my parents and I were stuck in Grass Valley with a dead battery. In despair, I asked a nearby police officer if he could give us a lift to the imminent game. With a big heart and kind smile, Office Terry Vanetten piled us into his police car, and we arrived at Lyman Gilmore in time to see my son’s first play. I am happy I live in a town where these things can happen.
