NSJ a good town

I have had it. I am tired of the negative reporting about North San Juan, (i.e.) “Brass Rail bartender and patron busted for selling drugs and stolen property.” “Two subjects arrested at Sierra Energy with AK 47’s.” “Trouble at Peterson’s Corner.”

Does anyone realize there are good people in this town? The Bigley family has been an asset to this community for many years. If a customer has no money for food they let them charge and 75 percent of the time they never get reimbursed, they donate to our town holiday events to feed the town. Sierra Energy does the same, as does Peterson’s Corner. These are all good people. We don’t hear about that in the paper.

How about our kids doing great in school, 4-H, Boy and Girl Scouts, Head Start, In Home Studies at Oaktree? How about the good parents? Headline, “Teenagers at party get beat up.” “CPS problems.” We can’t help that, low life’s are here, too.

I guess you think we are the only town in the county with meth dealers, marijuana growers? There are little towns around here that get praise, and they have the same problems if not worse.
