Not enough money to repair Boulder Street

Back when NID was getting ready to send “a truck every 11 minutes” up and down Boulder Street in support of efforts to do repair work on a Cascade Shores canal, Nevada City was offered $10,000 in repair money for the street. In its infinite wisdom, the City Council turned the NID offer down because it wasn’t enough. And got nothing. Enjoy the ride, because now there’s only money enough to patch an occasional pothole.
