Nondiscriminatory marriage

With the number of failed marriages in California approaching 80 out of 100 weddings (I doubt they even get to the “marriage” part), one would wonder why there is so much hullabaloo about keeping it between heterosexual couples alone. I would think they would welcome people who have been together for years without “benefit of clergy” who desperately want to solomnize their relationship. And keep in mind that we vote on initiatives for lots of things that are found to be constitutionally illegal and are struck down by the courts. I think the Knight initiative will prove to be one of those. Love and let love. Make the world a better place for all of us to raise our families.
