No nuclear terror here

President George W. Bush declared Nevada a new repository for New Jersey’s nuclear waste. A Nevada Democratic representative presented a map, live on C-SPAN last Tuesday, depicting 200 counties across 44 states with routes for transport of nuclear cargo. Terrorist missions target nuclear cargo to accomplish the objective of building what President Bush and others name a “Dirty Bomb.”

Supervisor Bruce Conklin – I am told – years ago, worked toward preventing the transport of nuclear cargo along Nevada County’s highways and byways. The right choice was made by Supervisor Conklin in the past; now, Nevada County benefits from his choice.

Thank you, Supervisor Conklin: Nevada County will remain more peaceful because you made a right choice to prohibit the transfer of nuclear cargo through Nevada County.
