No housing for young folk

I was recently reading The Union Web site, because I have moved out of the area for school. I was reading the special section about housing in the Nevada County area.

I myself, being a 19-year-old college student working part time at minimum wage, held no chance of finding a place in the price range. I ended up searching for an apartment with two other people. In the end I left the Nevada County area to go to school in another area of the state. I miss Nevada County, but there’s no way I could have ever made it there.

Unless you have children or a disability there’s just no assistance out there for you. I hope one day to return to the area, just not while I can only make minimum wage.
