NID’s work beneficial

The Nevada Irrigation District has distributed a complete description of the work to be done in correcting the water distribution system for the Forest Knolls area.

The property owners in the area should discuss this description and plan with their insurance agent as it may lower the cost of their fire insurance.

The quantity of water available to the Fire Department to fight any fire in the area will be increased because the size of the piping is doubled.

New and modern fire hydrants will be installed so that the connections for the Fire Department’s hoses are correct.

The fire hydrants will be installed as close as possible to the property being protected which should decrease the cost of fire insurance.

Also, the long-term effect of this NID improvement will be the increase in the value of the owner’s property.
