News being overlooked

On Saturday night, Feb. 8, just before midnight, there was a police helicopter circling the area between Cypress Hill and Alta. They had the very bright searchlight on, apparently looking for someone. Now, this went on for at least a half an hour with the searchlight frequently shining right through our windows.

When I lived in the Bay Area and something like this happened, we could always find out about it the next day in the paper. But not up here. Several weeks ago, there was a serious accident on Empire/49, closing the highway. I never saw it in the paper either. News is often overlooked and stories about poodles take the front page. Is anybody awake down there?
