Nevada Irrigation District board

Hi, I’m Christa Baker, and I live on Banner Mountain. I have been living there for almost eight years and I like it, how it is in the woods, and I want it to stay like the woods. I don’t want to make NID look bad. I’m just saying they are going to cut down lots of trees and that will make it different and it will change everything.

There will be a vote and Nancy Weber is running for office. We really need people to vote for her.

If she does not win the vote, then NID will put the pipeline in. So please, vote for Nancy Weber.

Christa Baker

Nevada City

Nancy Weber has worked hard the last four years. Her enormous dedication to our community has increased our awareness of NID and created an ongoing conversation about its future.

Nancy confronts problems by bringing communities together to discuss the issues. She believes that it is time for NID to broaden its mission statement to include protection of the environment and recreational resources.

Join all of us who celebrate Nancy’s energy and vision, and vote for her and Ron Mathis as directors of NID.

It was unfortunate that Nancy Weber wasn’t a member of the Board when NID first approached those of us who live on Pasquale Road about using our properties to set up a temporary pipeline to transport water to Grass Valley. Had she been involved, I doubt that NID would have faced expensive lawsuits and negative public relations from this area while they repaired their concrete flumes. Nancy Weber listens, respects people and property, understands the issues, and has a vision for Nevada County’s water. Respect for the customer is always the best business practice.

Vote for Nancy.

I have observed Nancy Weber’s work on the NID board for the past four years. Nancy is very hardworking, thorough, conscientious and open-minded. She listens to peoples’ concerns. Nancy has a vision for NID which includes the necessity for long-term strategic planning, protecting the future water supply for NID taxpayers, balancing the needs of necessary infrastructure modernization with neighborhood concerns, and making NID a more responsive public agency. Nancy Weber deserves your vote for the NID Board, Division 1.

Nancy Weber has been helping this community for 15 years, working with neighborhood groups to improve services within Nevada County.

She has demonstrated over the years that her aim is to make this a better place to live.

I don’t know what her two opponents want from this election; they both filed for NID office within a year of moving to Nevada County.

In her four years on the NID board, she has worked hard to make NID more user-friendly and more environmentally friendly.

I back Nancy Weber for four more years on the NID board.
