I’m confused. Why on earth did we go to all trouble to invade Iraq after 9/11 when we could’ve accomplished just as much by invading Venezuela? After all, Venezuela is a dictatorship rife with human rights abuses and is oil-rich to boot.

What’s more, it’s in our own hemisphere, which would have made it much easier logistically, and much less expensive (as cost-conscious conservatives, we wouldn’t dare consider mortgaging our grandchildren’s future, would we?). Besides, we would not have risked inflaming the Islamic world with all this ignorant “crusade” talk. Most importantly, Venezuela was just as responsible for 9/11 as Iraq. I don’t get it. Venezuela should go down.

Another thing I don’t understand – why all the delay in invading North Korea? America is in the dictatorship-liberation business, isn’t it? Our appointed president admits that’s the only remaining rationale for invading Iraq, so North Korea deserves no less of our attention. Same deal – it’s a brutal dictatorship oppressing a starving people. And this time we know for sure it has WMD – it’s a slam dunk, as they say.

Maybe some unquestioning patriot can explain this all to me.
