NC must keep its uniqueness

Once again, the city of Nevada City is called upon to defend its attempts to maintain its uniqueness. This time it’s about oversize garages. Will somebody kindly inform “newbies” and the clueless that there are plenty of places to live where they can build what they want? Why do they want to come to Nevada City – noted for its distinctive, historically representative architecture – and change it? What draws these folks here in the first place? Makes as much sense as knocking down the Roman Coliseum to build condos.
