MY TOP TEN: Susan Moreno, Penn Valley

Rain, rain go away? Not if you’re Susan Moreno. The Penn Valley woman loves all kinds of weather, even the stormy stuff we’ve had lately. Susan and her husband Al Moreno have a son Casey, who lives at home, and another son Mica, who lives with his wife Lori in Paradise. The whole family cut down a Christmas tree this weekend in the Lassen National Forest. Susan loved driving along as big snowflakes fell. Here’s some other things that Moreno – a frame shop employee at Grass Valley’s Ben Franklin store – loves about the weather:

1. I love storm clouds.

2. The sunsets and sunrises. It’s like a canvas in the sky that gets painted by the sunsets and it’s always changing.

3. Puddles to stomp in.

4. You get to wear your most cuddly coats.

5. Sometimes, books are better to read during stormy weather.

6. You car gets all cleaned off.

7. Sagebrush smells sweeter.

8. The birds are more excitable.

9. The big raindrops.

10. You get to light a fire in the fireplace.
