My top ten – Paige Carnahan

Paige Carnahan, an eighth-grader at Seven Hills Middle School, offers her Top 10 favorite memories of the Medieval Feast, which will be held Thursday at the Miners Foundry Cultural Center in Nevada City:

1. Choosing a costume and being able to wear such a beautiful dress.

2. Parading from the school to the Miners Foundry and feeling special because many people lined the streets to watch.

3. Being able to create my own personal coat of arms.

4. Helping to design and make the coat of arms for my kingdom.

5. Having my hair done up in a medieval hair style.

6. Walking into the Miners Foundry and being amazed by the decorations. It really looked like a medieval hall.

7. Dancing.

8. Watching the court jesters entertain us.

9. Seeing everyone having so much fun, including the students, teachers and parent helpers also in costume.

10. Being one of a small group selected to go to E.V. Cain School in Auburn to teach seventh grade students the medieval dances.
