Museum docents sought

Firehouse No. 1 Museum, a division of the Nevada County Historical Society, is looking for volunteer docents.



Training will be provided. Learn about and share local history with others. Major displays include exhibits on Maidu Indians, the Donner Party, the Chinese and various pioneers; and items of local interest.




Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Duties include opening and closing the museum; greeting visitors and sharing history with them; and selling books and souvenirs.
