More wars not the answer

The most egregious of President George W. Bush’s first-year activities has been to create an atmosphere of war in America.

The Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld war machine is using people’s hate and anger to demonize Saddam Hussein and getting America ready for an expanded war effort.

This war triumvirate knows they can wage war when it is under the banner of some kind of evil, thus the chorus of evil this, evil that, for the last four months. Another reason for demonizing Saddam is to desensitize Americans to the coming increase of war casualties.

Where are the voices of all the millions of Americans who see that war is not the answer to everything? The war on terrorism was the needed response to the attack on America, but Bush’s reckless resolve to use Sept. 11 to expand an agenda of creating new wars and instigating war goes way over the line.

Is this what Americans wanted when they elected Bush as president?
