Adults 55 and older are invited to share their time and talents with Nevada County non-profits, public agencies and schools. Accident, liability, and excess auto insurance are provided and mileage reimbursement is available. If you are interested in any of the following positions, please call RSVP at 271-0255 weekdays (9 a.m.- 1 p.m.) or visit our office at 471 Sutton Way, Suite #202, in Grass Valley.

Help is needed on Wednesdays mornings with basic office work filing, typing and answering phones.

A math tutor is needed to work mornings with 6th, 7th and 8th grade students on math concepts.



Volunteers are needed to return phone messages, answer questions about songbirds, and refer injured birds to rehabilitation specialist mornings or afternoons one day a week, training provided.

Applications for appointment to the Citizens’ Oversight Committee of the Nevada County Library for the purpose of reviewing, advising and monitoring the library’s revenues, expenditures and services are now being accepted. Skills required include a background in accounting and an interest in the Library.




A van driver is needed to transport veterans from the Veterans Memorial Building in Grass Valley to the Reno VA Hospital and back.

Volunteers are needed to tidy kennels, feed and water, brush and play with kitties. Your hands-on attention will help make the kitties more adoptable.
