Meth meeting

Wonderful coverage on the front page, Saturday, Jan. 21, “Meth meeting geared toward action.” That is exactly what this wonderful group of people working together to accomplish. Our sub-group is Neighborhood Watch Groups. Many areas have road and other associations that already have a list of neighbors.

We urge you to gather your neighbors to discuss ways you can work together to make your neighborhood safe. There are individuals from our local law enforcement agencies who are willing to speak at these meetings. We’d like to ask the community to help design signs to post for Zero Tolerance On Drugs. It is time for businesses and organizations to recognize their financial responsibilities and provide needed funding where required by our groups. It is time to take ownership of our neighborhoods. It is time to pick up the phone when we see or hear something suspicious.

If you’re interested in volunteering and/or wish to provide funding, call 432-8680.
