How long I’ve lived in Nevada County: Since I was 15.

Why I like living here: I like the scenery; I like the rivers and I enjoy the people. I have a lot of family here; that’s pretty much why I came.

What I do in my spare time: I’m working all the time, so I don’t have a lot of spare time, but I sew a lot and I like crafts. I also spend time helping my boyfriend in his new shop – J&M Off Road.

My family: My aunt, uncles, grandma and cousins are here. They all live on the same property, in different houses. It’s a lot of fun.

Best friend: My boyfriend, Mike.

Favorite food: My mom’s macaroni.

Pets: A Boston terrier named “The Bender”

Job: Assistant floor manager at the Northridge of Nevada City.

What I like about my job: I love the people I work for and the people I work with. I also like that I can stand behind the product I promote.

What I would change about my job: Right now, there is not a lot I would change. We’re going through a lot of changes already. They are working through things I would want changed.

The best job I ever had: This one.

If I won a million: I would hopefully buy my grandma a little cottage by the ocean, which is where she wants to be. And probably go on lots of vacations.

My favorite vacation: When I was a kid, we sailed from the Sacramento Delta to the San Francisco Bay. Sailing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge was choppy and rough, but once beyond it, the water was completely smooth. We landed on a great sandy beach.

My greatest accomplishment: Helping put together Stand for Children Day and Peace Camp.

What I’d change about the world: I’d change people who are always in a hurry. They should calm down a little bit and save needless stress.

My hero: Mr. Kimbrow, my peer-counseling teacher from Willits. He helped me a lot and is somebody I really look up to.
