Measure D is a monster

Measure D, the developer claims initiative that qualified for the ballot in November, is a total train wreck for development in Nevada County.

Let’s suppose Measure D passes. How long will it take the planning department to process your project if it contains elements that the county may be sued for? It could be years, especially if the constitutionality of Measure D is challenged in court, as it is sure to be.

If you don’t like some specific regulations, policies, guidelines (and their cumulative impact can be idiotic), work to have them changed, but don’t vote to create a monster. No on D.
