McGruff to appear at Child Safety Day

The Gold Country Kiwanis and the Nevada County Sheriff’s Explorers will sponsor a Child Safety Day March 16 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Imaginarium in Nevada City. Parents can bring their young children and receive a free personalized identification card, complete with photo, fingerprints and personal information for each child.

McGruff the Crime Dog will be on the scene to meet the kids, and the Nevada County Health Department will hand out information on the new car-seat regulations, Healthy Families Program and other subjects. Children will be able to enjoy the Imaginarium free of charge during the event.

The Imaginarium is located at 161 Nevada City Highway. For information, call 478-6415.
