Mass planned in memory of pope

A celebration of the life of Pope John Paul II’s life will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at Grass Valley’s St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.

The public is invited to attend the Mass and offer flowers as a remembrance of the pope.

The Rev. Tim Nondorf will preside at the worship, which will include ringing of the church’s bells 26 times, once for each year of the late pope’s pontificate. A church choir will perform, and a praying of the rosary will precede the Mass at 6:30 p.m.

For more information, contact Nondorf at 273-2347, ext. 207.
