Make roundabout more visible

Our local branch of “The Powers That Be” has decided that one solution to our traffic woes would be a “roundabout” at Idaho Maryland and East Main.

The “roundabout” on Sierra College Drive is already one too many in Grass Valley. That thing is dangerous. If you come upon it on a rainy day, it is practically invisible. You don’t even realize what it is until you are so close you nearly run over it. It is the same thing on an overcast day, or at dawn or dusk.

I can offer a solution for that problem: paint the curb of that thing reflective white. It won’t solve all of the problems, like people ignoring the yield signs, but at least we’ll be able to see it sooner and make better traffic/driving decisions.

If we do end up with another “roundabout” in Grass Valley anywhere, please make sure that the curb is painted some color that clearly defines the edges.
