LWV presents forums on March 5 election

The League of Women Voters of Western Nevada County, in conjunction with the news media of the western county, will present a series of election forums.

Four candidate forums, sponsored by The Union, KVMR, KNCO and FCAT and moderated by the league, are scheduled:



— Thursday: Candidates for county clerk-recorder and Nevada City City Council, 8-10 p.m., Miners Foundry, Nevada City.




— Feb. 7: Candidates for Congressional District 4, State Senate District 4 and State Assembly District 3, 8-10 p.m., Center for the Arts, Grass Valley.

— Feb. 14: Candidates for Nevada County District 4 supervisor, 8-10 p.m., Center for the Arts.

— Feb. 21: Candidates for Nevada County District 3 supervisor, 8-10 p.m., Center for the Arts.

On Feb. 9, members of the league will present pro-and-con arguments on state ballot issues at the group’s general meeting. The meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 10 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Grass Valley.
