Lots of trees in L.A.

Jeannie Anderson Finley

I just wanted to let (the writer of the letter “Better off in L.A.?,” May 19) know that there are some folks in Los Angeles who read this paper.

Having resided in Nevada County for over 25 years, I now live with my husband in Tujunga, which is about 15 minutes from downtown Los Angeles. We live in an old 1920s California bungalow with seven mature and beautiful trees on the property.

Los Angeles is full of very old and beautiful trees. Perhaps [the letter-writer] should have suggested that the gentleman move to the desert if he didn’t care for trees, although I have also lived in the Mojave, and find that area beautiful, as well.
