Lose your rights?

I have never had a complaint about my two dogs (mom and pup). My dogs watch my house while I am away. They bark when they hear things around my property; that is their job. The majority of our neighborhood has dogs that perform the same task.

I was issued a citation after one warning from Animal Control. I have tried to prevent the youngest from barking, including kenneling, separating them, leaving only one hour at a time. I contacted Animal Control to discuss the situation; I was instantly treated rudely, as if I were a criminal.

Sept. 5, I had one more complaint while I was not home. Grass Valley Police Department cut the lock off my gate instead of accepting offers from neighbors to take the dogs. GVPD and Animal Control went in to remove my dogs from the residence (their excuse for cutting my lock). Instead, they opened my back door and terrorized the dogs back into the house with stun guns, Mace and a dog noose. I was also informed that they could have kicked my door down, again without a warrant.

So if you own a barking dog, you can lose your civil rights.
